Concessionaire? Campgrounds on public lands are being abandoned or
outsourced in many of the areas I have visited in the Northwest. The general
impression this creates varies from lack of care to inappropriate commercialization.
Evidently, pride in the preservation of an, in my view, important shared resource
is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Personally, I've never encountered
anyone at these campgrounds who thinks this is a good idea.
