New Bridge, the 'Dry Gulch' Irrigation Aqueduct, constructed over a
period of two years in c. 1902 to distribute water from Eagle Creek
around the area of New Bridge. Using techniques dating back to
Roman times, the workers followed a fall-line of 1/4 inch per
16 feet of linear distance. It is still in use, and can be seen
from the valley bottom . . .
